  • For product selection, we suggest you consider:

    • Box size

    Boxes with more than 400 mm in width, height or length or with over 30 kg in weight are considered to be large-sized and may require heavy duty adhesive tapes to ensure permanent sealing during manipulation.

    • Packing type

    For corrugated cardboard boxes coated with anti-humidity or glossy agents, heavy duty adhesive tapes are suggested.

    If irregular-shaped or non-rigid containers are used, heavy duty adhesive tapes might be required to ensure sealing.

    • Sealing method

    Adhesive tapes may be applied manually, semi-automatically using a tape dispenser gun or automatically using box sealer machine. When using a tape dispenser gun, heavy duty adhesive tapes are suggested to ensure immediate adhesion.

    • Work environment

    If adhesive tape is applied at room temperatures below 10°C or above 45°C or with relative humidity above 85%, heavy duty adhesive tapes are suggested.

    • Storage conditions

    If box sealed with adhesive tape is stored at room temperatures below 5°C, sealing with heavy duty adhesive tapes is suggested to ensure permanent adhesion.

Protect surfaces  to paint

For product selection, we suggest you consider:

  

  • Type of surface requiring protection:

It is usual to mask or protect surfaces before undergoing maintenance or finishing. This is typically done on walls, wooden or metal window frames, glass, rubber, and bodyworks requiring protection for short periods of time.

In some cases, the use of a general-purpose tape may be suggested; other cases involving delicate indoor surfaces that may result damaged by adhesive tape removal,  the use of a blue adhesive tape may be preferred.

 

  • Type of coating to protect from:

In case an adhesive tape is required to protect from the application of solvent-based paints, the use of green adhesive tape is recommended.

 

  • Coating application method:

For protection of surfaces undergoing maintenance or finishing involving pressure jets, the use of green tape is suggested to prevent rip off during procedure. Avoid aiming at the protection tape in any direction that may cause tape rip off or detachment. (NOTA DEL TRADUCTOR: en español, dice: “… durante el procedimiento. Durante el procedimiento…” se oye redundante… puede comenzarse la segunda oración con “Evite…”)

 

  • Work environment

If adhesive tape is applied at room temperatures ranging from 40°C to 80°C, the use of green tape is suggested.

 

  • Storage conditions

Storage at room temperatures below 25°C and relative humidity below 60% is recommended.
